Massa sure Ferrari now on the right path
Felipe Massa is convinced Ferrari has finally found the direction that will allow the team to unlock all the potential from its 2012 challenger. The Italian squad has endured a difficult pre-season so far, as it worked on getting to grips with the radical F2012 car with which it hopes to return to winning ways this season. Massa completed his two days of work at Barcelona today, covering over 100 laps for the first time this year and finishing as fifth quickest.

Breaking: Range Rover Evoque Cabriolet spotted in London alley

Obviously, Range Rover wants folks to see its new concept car before it ships off to Switzerland next month. Reading University student Simon Truscott snapped the Range Rover Evoque Cabriolet in a London alley, apparently catching it in the midst of a photo/video shoot. We'll admit that this isn't the ragtop Evoque's best angle. Without a greenhouse to offset its full-figured bottom, the topless off-roader looks pretty chunky.
Range Rover says it'll monitor audience reaction to the concept after it's formally revealed at the Geneva Motor Show (as surely as it's tracking the feedback people are posting already). Their words: "The concept is being shown to gauge reaction and to assess the potential for what could be another unique product from Land Rover."
If we had to place bets, we'd wager that a production version will eventually appear in showrooms. You'll find a press release with Range Rover's official statement after the jump.

Brawn: Teams will regret FOTA split
Ross Brawn believes the decision by four of his rivals to quit the Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) was short-sighted, and fears all the sport's competitors may live to regret it. With Ferrari, Red Bull Racing, Sauber and Scuderia Toro Rosso all having quit FOTA in the wake of ongoing wrangling over a Resource Restriction Agreement, there have been questions raised about the future of the organisation. However, the remaining members of FOTA are wholly committed to it, and Brawn says he hopes that circumstances do not play out - such as in imminent talks over a new Concorde Agreement - where teams wish they had stuck together.

The track was set in its Cup configuration, so the large, heavy Ford Falcon would need to negotiate the Inner Loop chicane. Report: Tesla libel suit against Top Gear fails again

Tesla and the company's lawyers are nothing if not determined. After a judge smacked down the electric vehicle manufacturer's libel suit against the BBC and Top Gear for comments made about the range of the Tesla Roadster, the automaker rallied with a second, amended lawsuit. It didn't take long for the the same judge to nix the new case, too, saying the amendment was "not capable of being defamatory at all, or, if it is, it is not capable of being a sufficiently serious defamatory meaning to constitute a real and substantial tort."
That sound? It's the smack of the judicial backhand.
The judge went on to say drivers know a manufacturer's claim about range is dependent on driving conditions and habits.
The dustup, as you may recall, began when Top Gear put the Tesla Roadster through its paces on the show's test track. While Jeremy Clarkson lauded the car's acceleration, the segment claimed the vehicle ran out of juice after just 55 miles of abuse. That figure is far south of the 200 mile range Tesla claims for the vehicle. CEO Elon Musk called the show "completely phony" not long after the segment aired and brought out the legal guns. The rest, as they say, is history.

Nissan rules out major programme
Nissan has ruled out a major international motorsport programme in the near future. The Japanese manufacturer revealed last year that it was looking at a number of options for its first global factory campaign since its attack on the 1999 Le Mans 24 Hours. Those options included LMP1 prototypes, the DTM, the World Rally Championship and the World Touring Car Championship.

Jarvis loses Audi DTM drive
Oliver Jarvis has been dropped from Audi's DTM line-up for the coming season as the Abt Sportsline team has reduced its effort from five cars to three.
