Gow pleased with NGTC progress

British Touring Car Championship boss Alan Gow was happy with the performance of the NGTC prototype car after it made its first public on-track appearance at Brands Hatch. The development machine, which is built around a Toyota Avensis chassis, had only previously undertaken a day and a half of testing at Pembrey prior to arriving at Brands. Former champion James Thompson was less than a second off the pace in free practice for the final BTCC round
